As the child approaches early childhood, his world expands greatly. The child becomes more independent and has a need for interaction beyond the immediate family. The interactions between the child and his family will shape how he interacts with the world around him.

During this stage children learn how to ride a tricycle, show awareness of gender identity, help to dress and undress himself, cut with scissors, play with other children, recall part of a story, and sing a song. 3 and year olds are silly and tend to laugh loudly.

Despite the number of toys a parent may purchase for their 3 to 4 year old, there is no substitute for group play, with an age appropriate structured curriculum.  Socialization is key to this age group.   A licensed and experienced child care / Preschool proves the best opportunity for the child to grow and learn at a pace that they are capable of.

Our curriculum for 3 to 4 year old children is an early Preschool curriculum.  This is when the children can start to retain the information they are learning.  From this point on each class will build on the next until they move on to kindergarten.

At our Center we have an Early 3's class and an Older 3's class based on Birthdays and skills mastered.  Our "class" times all start at 9am with Morning Meetings.  This is a time for review and to introduce new concepts to the children.  It is important to maintain a consistant schedule with the children for an optimal learning experience.  We have both morning and afternoon learning activities included in our full day.
